- The lining plates are forced-fitted into the mill tube without bolts,
- The main decisive factor for this fastening type is a high precision (dimensions) of the lining plates, especially for the wedge-shaped lateral sides,
- The parting lines must exactly fit to each other,
- Only an absolute precise fitting can assure that the lining will not fall out over the years of use by normal wear,
- The plates are additionally connected by a round steel, in order to prevent a drop down,
- At Christian Pfeiffer, the lining plates for boltless fastening are manufactured in the shell moulding casting process acc. to Croning,
- In contrast to conventional sand casting processes, tolerances of ± 1 mm will be achieved, without additional machining necessary,
- Installation calls for precise preparation and should only be carried out with assistance from CPB specialists.
