Newsletter I-2012

Introduction

Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear customers,

One of the most sought-after goals of our customers is to increase the efficiency of grinding plants. The pricing pressure and requirements on higher quality cements are often forcing the operators to optimize their plants. That fact that an increased performance can be reached only by replacing a separator, you can read in our case study of a separator replacement at the Phoenix-Zementwerke Krogbeumker Gmbh & CoKG.

Nevertheless, these customer demands also mean for Christian Pfeiffer to bring forward its developments into the separator technology. The fact that we have chosen the right way shows the follow-up report regarding our visit to the Powtech. There, we have received the most differing queries with respect to separators Christian-Pfeiffer, partly from industrial sectors beyond the cement industry. Therefore, it is just the perfect moment that we are currently remodeling our testing plant. After these remodeling measures we are able to sort much wider scattered groups of charging materials. Please read also our preliminary report.

Last but not least, Christian Pfeiffer has to position itself optimally for the future. For that purpose, we have concentrated our forces in Beckum and Liezen and have merged both companies into one. In addition, we have assumed a joint venture in China, what will help to ensure us a permanent place on the Chinese market.

We hope you will enjoy reading our newsletter.

The Christian Pfeiffer Team

February 2012

In July 2010, Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik has optimised a grinding plant of Phoenix Zementwerke Krogbeumker GmbH & CoKG in Beckum, Germany by exchanging the separator. Cost pressure caused by high energy costs and special demands for high quality cement with high strength values necessitated the step towards a modernization of the plant.

It has been one and a half year since our last contribution to the newsletter. We are still aiming for a better understanding of the process of air classification and too further improvement of this process. In addition we are now looking to consolidate results from particle-movement simulations with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with results obtained during testing on the pilot plant.

Christian Pfeiffer Beckum (CPB) presented its separator family OptiTromp at POWTECH 2011 for the first time to a general public. The aim was to offer the developments gained in the separator technology to other industries as well besides the cement, raw meal and coal industry.

The Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik Beckum is currently carrying out a six-week intensive training for the employees of maintenance teams of diverse cement plants from Ghana.

The previously independent companies Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Beckum, Germany, and Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik in Liezen, Austria, have been merged into one company since the 26th of January 2012.

Christian Pfeiffer Beckum (CPB) and Maschinenfabrik Liezen (MFL) are pleased to announce the forming of a joint venture with Jidong Development Group (JIDD) and its subsidiary Jidong Development Equipment Engineering (JDEE), based in Tangshan, Hebei Province, People’s Republic of China.

2002, the Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik Beckum (CPB) and the foundry Eduardo S.A. founded together in Bolivia the Christian Pfeiffer Latinoamericana S.A. (CPLA).
