Newsletter I-2011

Introduction

Dear ladies and gentlemen,
dear valued customer,

In 2011 we are going to put great efforts into the research and development of our products to make them even more efficient. First results are already available: We are proud to present a decisive upgrade for our Open Lifter Diaphragm.

At the same time we like to look back with you into the past as well: How old is your Christian Pfeiffer diaphragm structure still in operation? Please let us know and win a free participation for the Pfeiffer Seminar 2011. You do not have a Pfeiffer diaphragm running yet? Don't worry, of course you can attend the Seminar anyway, we are looking forward to receiving your application!

The Christian Pfeiffer Team
March 2011

Three cement mills are currently being installed at "Mordowcement", Russia, under the supervision of Christian Pfeiffer specialists. In 2010 the delivery of the complete plants consisting of three cement mills with a diameter of 5.0 m, a grinding length of 15.75 m and the adequate separators type QDK 38-N as well as further auxiliary aggregates was finalized. The assembly was started last year.

CPB has achieved a further progress in the range of Open Lifter Diaphragms. Open Lifter Diaphragms are usually installed in raw mills being the connection between drying compartment and grinding compartment. Thus they are exposed to enormous impacts. From the side of the drying compartment the ball mill is charged with hot gas at a temperature of up to 450 °C. Hereby the drying process of the feed material is achieved. From the side of the grinding compartment the ball charge unilaterally presses against the diaphragm support structure.

Following the very successful realization of our last process-technological training courses in the past, customers are welcome to participate in our next three days intensive training held at Christian Pfeiffer in Beckum from September 26 - 28, 2011 to extend their experiences about mill and separator operation

Dr. Schäfer was acting as Sales Director in our company and was highly respected as a superior and appreciated as a colleague. His professional competence, commitment and reliability were widely valued.

Who is using the oldest Christian Pfeiffer diaphragm structure still in operation? If it is used for cement or raw mill application – this does not matter!
