3rd grinding plant for Sharjah Cement

Sharjah Cement Factory in the United Arab Emirates has ordered another clinker grinding plant with CPB, who has received the order for the first plant in 2004 and for the second plant in 2006.

The order comprises of a two compartment ball mill with 4.6 m Ø and 14.25 m grinding path length as well as a high efficiency separator QDK 36-NZ and the feeding and conveying equipment.
The mill will be driven by a DMG2 gear box with a capacity of 5,200 kW. All mill internals as well as the ball charge will be supplied by CPB. A jet pulse filter will be installed for ball mill dedusting.
In the separator circuit a EMC – type filter will be installed for product collection. This circuit allows partial or complete substitution of the separation air by ambient air by which the cement temperature can be controlled. The cement will be conveyed by means of a pneumatic pump to the silos.
The feeding station for clinker and gypsum will be located offset of the grinding plant, as it was designed for the other two grinding plants. The feeding station will be connected by a set of troughed beltconveyors of approx. 180 m length with the existing clinker silos.

Completion of the project is foreseen by end of 2008.
